Did you know…? The Africa Mercy has its own highly trained security team who live and work on the ship year-round. This team of Gurkhas, all originally from Nepal, keep our ship safe and sound - but don’t let these serious faces fool you. They have a knack for knowing every single volunteer’s name, manning the gangway with contagious smiles, and occasionally cooking the most amazing Nepalese curries for the crew!
