Worship On The Bow
The Africa Mercy only sails a few weeks each year (on its way to a Field Service and on its way to a shipyard/drydock phase). However, when we do sail, we are able to do many activities when we are not working. These include events such as a talent show, a few movies nights, karaoke, sock golf, a crossing the Equator ceremony, etc... One of the most unique activities is worship on the bow.
Imagine over 40 nations of all ages, denominations, and professions taking the time to join together in worship in the middle of the ocean. This is a special time and one that the crew look forward to each sail. During this sail to the Canary Islands, we are able to do have worship on the bow twice.
Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea— the Lord on high is mighty.
