Happy New Year from the Fouta Djallon
We are "pumped" as we look forward to 2019. We hope that this new year is the best one ever and that God directs your paths.
Our family just spent the last week in the interior of Guinea with some friends that have spend the last 20 years working with the Fulani people. We learned so many things such as getting water from a well, filtering water to drink, and heating water for our bucket baths. We also avoided the spitting cobras that our hosts warned us about.
Our trip Kankalabe took about 12 hours to get there. Most of the trip was on paved roads with lots of potholes, but the last 40 miles took about 3 hours on a direct road. Below are a few photos from our trip to Kankalabe.
