27 year old Isatu has known life with her tumor for longer than she’s known life without it. The swelling began when she was just 10 years old, and has been part of her reality ever since, bringing pain, shame and social rejection. It’s been a long road to recovery for Isatu, but with surgery on the Africa Mercy, hope of a different future is in sight.
