African Caves

During our Christmas break on the Africa Mercy, our family was able to travel to the interior of Guinea and visit some missionary friends that we met almost 20 years ago is this country. On one of the days, we were able to explore some local caves. The twins had a great time exploring and all the local kids ended up following us on our hike to the large rock outcroppings and back to the vehicle.

We have been exploring caves before, but in a very controlled environment, so this trip introduced a new level of danger that the twins had not encountered before. Our friends had been there many times, so we felt that they knew the levels of acceptable risk for our girls. It was a good experience for all of us!
