For volunteer physical therapist Maria Fortun Aguda (Spain), working with Mercy Ships patients has forever changed the way she views hope, through moments both big and small. “We play a lot with the kids in physio to help them improve their strength, mobility and balance. Just the other day, two little girls I was working with started to crawl - and they'd never crawled until I taught them how to, because their legs weren't straight before. Once they discovered how to crawl, they wouldn't stop. I think I'm going to remember a moment like this forever.”
