Paul Bernard was just five years old when he suffered severe burns across his face and upper body. Without access to medical care, his burns didn’t heal properly, costing him the mobility of his arm. After the accident, his life was anything but normal as he faced many physical limitations. At age 11, Paul Bernard's life was restored thanks to his free surgery onboard the Africa Mercy.
