When The Pandemic First Broke...

When the pandemic first broke, Nicole — a former Mercy Ships ward nurse — quickly joined an emergency response list in her state. Since then, she's spent the last year helping with large-scale testing sites, performing COVID tests, and caring for patients after surgery. However, she humbly says the real applause should go to those on the frontlines:

"I think all healthcare workers have been affected by the last year in terms of adapting, but the true heroes in all this are those healthcare workers on the floors every workday caring for these patients."
