Awareness Days

Today is International Day of Charity and Mercy Ships is grateful for all those who volunteer their time to support people in need.

“Charity to me is a selfless act of giving to those who would otherwise go without. It’s the spreading of love and joy, hope and grace to the people of the world who are often ostracized, to make them feel more welcomed in a world full of hurt” Jess Davis (AUS), Ward Nurse on the Africa Mercy.

“Love cannot remain by itself – it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action, and that action is service.” - Mother Teresa

International Day of Charity highlights that charitable work can take various shapes and forms in different parts of the world. For Mercy Ships it’s about bringing hope and healing to the world’s forgotten poor.
