“I always wanted to be a sailor and now I can do that as well as seeing patients’ lives transformed here on the Africa Mercy. As an engineer, I love that I get to be a part of the technical aspects such as keeping the lights on, the A/C going and the engines running so that we can actually get to the country we're serving and then continue to be a functioning ship/hospital for the 10 months we're there.”
